The voucher was the Christmas gift to our kids: a London weekend including a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter. We chose the dates carefully... and ignored the tiny misadventures that came along with it as best as we could (Tobi had forgotton he needed to be in Berlin the whole Friday since teaching a course and Riki misbooked the flights for Thursday instead of Friday.. so she had to beg for a day off school which luckily is granted to school teachers one day per year).

London welcomed us with stunning weather, a beautiful cottage to stay at, great food and a lot of other tourists participating in the London marathon.

The current Harry Potter theme was "The Goblet of Fire" and we all enjoyed watching the making of: the masks, the hairdos, the costumes - especially the ones of Umbridge! - and the whole sets, especially Hagrids Cabin, Diagon Alley and the potion classroom. We just disliked the butterbeer, but who cares? We thoroughly savoured watching the movie afterwards.
