St Margaretes at Cliffe, 15.07.2019 The rushing sea
As a perfect start, we got the chance to rent a perfect cottage with a beautiful garden very close to Dover and to Folkestone, where we absolutely wanted to have Fish and Chips again.

Stourhead, 16.07.2019 Heading west
On our way to Devon, we stopped at Stourhead Garden to remember the locations of Pride and Prejudice. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie again after a long time, whereas the rest ofmy family obviously preferred Harry Potter (after we visited the exhibition last year).

Salcombe, 17.07.2019 Overbecks
Our first garden in Devon. And definitely the best! I was surprised to find so many tropical plants in England. And it is definitely a garden with a view. Stunningly beautiful.

Kingswear, 18.07.2019 Coleton Fishacre
The second garden we visited was Coleton Fishacre and also quite nice. The house was built in the 1920s and was influenced by the Art Deco Movement. On our way back home we stopped in Dartmouth, a nice little Devon town.

London, 23.07.2019 St Katharine Docks

After a day full of impressions we ran right into the protest march against Boris Johnson. It was overwhelming to see so many people of all kinds of age and colour walking united. And it felt quite right to be part of it - a pro-European-movement.

London, 25.07.2019 Globe theatre
My uncle Norbert was close friends with Sam Wanamaker, the iniatior of the reconstruction of the Globe theater. Wanamaker would have turned 100 years this year, and it was fun for us to also see Norbert within the video that was played for his memorization.

London, 25.07.2019 Hyde park parakeets
After the London Eye and Leake street, we had an encounter of a different kind in Hyde Park. Equipped with peanuts, we waited for parakeets to feed on them. They were followed by hundreds of doves, and we spent a very joyful hour. We simply love London!

Antwerpen, 26.07.2019 Pizza and beer

Berlin, 01.08.2019 Indianer Prinz Takeshi
Two weeks ago, the cat of my colleague Melanie gave birth to five kittens, and we took the first chance to meet with them. And guess what happened? Love at first sight. Mia chose the tiniest of the four brothers and one sister, and convinced her father to offer him a home.

Berlin, 19.08.2019 Mjuni
Our hamster is the coolest pet ever!

Machtlos, 31.08.2019 The Heinze hometown
Together with Tobis aunt Edith and uncle Guenter, we joined Uschi and Rolf visiting the place where Uschi and her sister Edith grew up as sisters.

Berlin, 14.09.2019 Opening of the Humboldt Forum

Berlin, 21.09.2019 Young americans
This year, we welcomed two girls - both named Natalie. In the morning, we were discussing dinner. I suggested Pizza and Mia commented "what if one of them is gluten intolerant". And guess what? One of them really was. So we produced a lot of different meals and took the girls to the Ku'Damm.
