We were driving along the Lago di Como, when Mia told us that her friend Kai was also staying there. Tobi replied, to meet someone there by chance would be just as unrealistic as meeting someone going on holiday at the North Sea. The lake would simply be too big. I tried and asked Kais mom where they stayed - funny enough it was just the village next to the one we stayed. So we started our holiday by meeting them in a local pizzeria - what a great coincidence!

The places we visited so far were gorgeous, but traffic was just awful. Really horrible. All the time. I concluded I can`t drive here - at least not a car as big as ours, and we simply spent too much time waiting in traffic jams and - what is worse - looking for non-existent parking spots. That`s why we decided to rent a boat for one day, to stop worrying about traffic and our car and to just enjoy the beautiful scenery from the water.

My recommendation to spend the best day in the Amalfi region: have a small tour at this little vineyard and try their wine and food overlooking the coastline.

Naples, 11.07.2021 In love with it all

In the city of Naples, I just feel very much in love with it all. The cobblestone, the pizza, the little flags. The laundry, the altar decorations. And, of course, Diego Maradona! We had a great time buying an Ukulele and enjoyed watching Italy winning the European championship.
