Berlin, 05.12.2010 Winter
Snow, snow, snow. Snow! It's hard to imagine for someone who never experienced the amount of snow falling in Berlin every winter. I guess you can compare it only with the amount of firecrackers exploding in the days of Chinese New Year - if you haven't experienced it yourself, you wouldn't believe it, since it is simply unbelievable. So we are doing our best enjoying, we are running around with our mouths open to catch snowflakes, we are going sledging to the Fischtal nearby, we are watching all kinds of birds visiting our birdhouse picking seeds. It has been great so far, but cold!

Berlin, 24.12.2010 Merry Christmas everyone!
We did not manage to send out season's greetings, and I guess we won't manage to send out Chinese New Year cards as we did last year either, but instead we managed to spend a couple of relaxed Christmas days and evenings at home - we arranged our first real Christmas tree, we played Lego, built marble runways, finished tons of chocalates, cookies and wine (it is so good to be back in Germany!), we put heavy pink make-up on, got new hair cuts (Mia decided it is not convenient to let her hair grow long to the floor since she would stumble across it), cherished the presents and the company of each other, watched our little Raeuchermaennchen smoke; we slept in, had very late and long breakfasts and let time pass - something we haven't done for a very long time. So the wishes for our beloved ones we were not able to meet with are as simple as that: we hope you can surround yourselves with people you like or even love, we hope you can enjoy good food and drinks and all stay healthy, we hope you can all find the time for a good book, listen to great music or watch the stars beautiful as they can be seen on a dark night, no matter where on earth you are or when we will meet again: here is to a gorgeous new 2011, might our paths cross!
