Berlin, 20.11.2011 Good old friends

Since we left Berlin in 2004, a lot of our friends left as well, but the good thing is: several good friends stayed, and it is great to meet them regularly, and see their kids grow, too! Thanks for being here with us, Henrike, Max and Emilia!

Berlin, 24.12.2011 Christmas

It's been eight years since we celebrated Christmas with my sister Uta, and neither of us had kids then. This year, we finally managed to meet, and even though it was extremely loud and wild and exhausting, we managed to prepare and consume tons of great food and wine. Hopefully, one day, the kids will cherish those meals as well instead of picking out chives or squinching up their faces on pancakes that turn out too small. Merry christmas, everyone!

Berlin, 27.12.2011 Get out!

The kids (and grown-ups) were all sad that snow did not bestow 'White Christmas' upon us this year. Quite contrary to sledging, we enjoyed the warm weather and spent a whole day outside in Glau, where a former military training ground has been turned into a game preserve. It is always a good idea to simply get out!

Berlin, 01.01.2012 Happy new year!

One of the best things of growing older is celebrating New Years Eve. Decreasing expectations present us with better parties, nicer guests, and especially greater dining! This year, Tobi prepared 'Surf and turf', and what a feast it was: Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and delicious 2012!
