Berlin, 04.02.2015 Extended family
We haven't met for at least ten years, and it was great catching up. My fathers cousin Norbert and his wife Dagmar live just at the same bus line as we do, and we took the chance of an ordinary wednesday to have a coffee together, before heading to the Potsdam Biosphaere and the Dutch neighbourhood.

Berlin, 07.02.2015 Underground - above the ground
We started a new project, namely walking the streets that are connected by our subway, namely the U3, to have a better picture in mind how the former villages grew to build a city. It was especially great to explore the area between Podbielskiallee and Breitenbachplatz, with architecture built in the late 1920s.

It's the small things in life that make some days outstanding. We left Berlin early at 6 am to avoid the Easter holiday traffic and made it in 4,5 hours to my hometown, which never ever happened before (and we had a coffee break in between) - then we had nice lunch with my parents, left the kids there and drove along to Eindhoven, where Tobi located a dancing performance of Compagnie Andrien M/ Claire B Š Hakana• at the annual Biennale. And we had a simply great afternoon.

Alsdorf, 01.04.2015 Energeticon
I am impressed by the fact that each time we visit, a new place just opened and is great! This time, we tried the Energeticon in Alsdorf, an exhibition on energy - fossil fuels and its alternatives. The next day, we checked out part of the continium, which was situated in the St. Elisabeth church. There was a huge impressive marble run with thousands of marbles and a chemistry show with explanation on how to make magic potions and introduced discoverers and inventors of ancient times.
