Berlin, 15.04.2015 Eleven

I am even more impressed by his height than by his age - Moritz is now 1,57 m, so already 7 cm taller than his Ayi and only 15 cm shorter than me. As time goes by, I realize he really chose a good day to be born, because as often, the day was sunny and warm, and everything in bloom. We celebrated with selfmade rosemary honey icecream, Oreo-like cookies and thourougly enjoyed our day.

Birthday party menu: Sushi as starter (Mia and Hans), Flammkuchen as main (Luise, Moritz and Mario) and vanilla ice as dessert (Yanes and Konstantin). Yummy!

Berlin, 24.04.2015 News from the school garden

We have a duck breeding on the small (really small) island in our pond and hundreds of beautiful flowers, tulips and chess board flowers and cherry blossoms to name just a few. We found a way to organize our compost, since some parts take longer to transform than others. And we examined the tiny inhabitants of the pond!

For almost a year, we considered repairing our old camera. But finally, we just bought a new one with a viewfinder, to avoid having the same problem ever again of not being able to take pics because of a cracked display. Now and then, the rabbits still dig tunnels and hop away. Last time, the whole construction needed mending, so much to Mias joy I did the repairwork while she looked after Emma and Franz.
