Gotha, 04.07.2015 Seventyfive

We chose the hottest weekend in 2015 to meet in Gotha with my parents, sister and her family for my moms 75th birthday. Since the temperatures were almost unbearable (a least for German standards, almost 40 degree Celsius), we chose to visit a cristalline gypsum grotto and took a tour through the defensive fortification of the local castle, Schloss Friedenstein, both places with stable temperatures of 8-10 degree Celsius. The kids are growing older, all of them, and it is always fun to catch up with one another. Hoping for a lot more birthdays to celebrate together!

After five years of coming here once a week, we will end our visits at the school garden to make way for other kids that take a look at seeds, grow plants and turn-over compost. It was a great time!

Mias class celebrated the end of this school year with a summer party whith all kids (and some of the grwon-ups) dressed up as Indians, building hobbyhorses and braiding dreamcatchers, carving wood and creating ornaments out of feathers.
