Berlin, 18.10.2015 Eighteen years

There are days, I consider leaving facebook for good. But there are others I can`t thank Mr Zuckerberg enough for his idea to let people connect so easily. Sometimes in life, you share certain parts of your journey with classmates or colleagues you really like, but you lose track of them, because you take different decisions on where you work, what you study, whom you marry (or not). My former classmate Katha and her husband Koschi had moved to Bremen a while ago, a city I unfortunately never visited. But a couple of days ago, Katha posted a photo of herself on a horseriding holiday in 1994, and I realized it was me who took the shot, and so I told her. We chatted a couple of minutes, found out we both hadn't planned anything for the upcoming autumn holidays, and she spontaneously decided to follow my invitiation to visit us with her family. And it was so nice to catch up and realize that sometimes not meeting for eighteen years doesn't really matter.

Catch of the day. Before heading to a Japanese restaurant, we not only passed by a Bonsai shop, but also one that sells Japanese style dirndl. Welcome to Berlin!

Kassel, 25.10.2015 Grimms world

Freshly opened this year, we visited the exhibition for the first time. Not really what one expects when thinking about fairy tales, but still an interesting collection.

My favourite installation. When taking a seat on a small chair, you appear as Snowwhite in a scene with the seven dwarfs. Very funny!

Berlin, 01.11.2015 New quarter

The former strip along the Berlin wall slowly grows into new urban living quarters, in case of the open space close to the Potsdamer Platz the versatile design impresses with various offerings for all kinds of people of all kinds of ages. We like it!

Shanghai/Kyoto, 23.11.2015 November again

It is that time of the year again, when the days get quickly shorter, and the weather gets steadily colder, and Tobi leaves for three weeks in Shanghai to teach Chinese freshmen. This year he took the opportunity to visit Kyoto for a weekend.
